MCL - In Memory of Silvio Mazzella
Marines it is my sad duty to report that Marine Silvio Mazzella has passed on and now guards Heavens Gates. I did not know Silvio personally but he was a member of Yankee 255 until his recent passing. Silvio was a big presence in the Morris Park community, heavily involved with the Community Board and organizer of various Veterans events, he will be sorely missed by all that knew him. The Suffolk County Detachment #247 of the Marine Corps League is leading
the Marine Corps contingent in this year's Veterans Day parade in New
York City on November 11, 2021.
The Marines will assemble at 1130 hours at 25 street between 5-6 Avenues.
The parade will start at 1215-1230 hours and continue to 45th street.
