Department Staff Meeting - CANCELLED Due to COVID-19
Marines,
In light of the Coronavirus Disease 2019
(COVID-19), guidance of Marine Corps League National Headquarters, and
the recent executive orders from New York State Governor Andrew M.
Cuomo, the Department Commandant and the Board of Trustees, with an
abundance of caution and sincere concern for the health and safety of
our members, and the Marines that we support, the Marine Corps League
Department of New York is postponing all upcoming events through April
17th, effective immediately. With that being said, the Spring Department
Staff Meeting is hereby cancelled.
The Department recommends ALL
Detachments, MODD (Pounds, Packs and Kennels) to follow suite for the
health and and safety of our members.
The Department is closely monitoring this situation, and will advise of any changes.
Please follow the guidance of the CDC
(Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and the New York State
Department of Health to protect yourself, and your family. Links to the

with the stress of the situation, FAQ's and more, can be found on the
Department web site at

Detachments, please be sure to reach out
to your members, especially those in the high risk category to ensure
that they are taken care of.

If your Detachment Installation falls during this postponement, please reschedule as soon as we return to normal operations.
Note: Upon resuming normal
operations, ALL Detachments, MODD Pounds, Packs and Kennels are to
sanitize their meeting/event spaces BEFORE having your activities. We
have provided a link to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention) guidance on how to sanitize your meeting/event space.
