Legionnaires, Sons of the American Legion and Legion Riders,
Due to the recent resignation of Riders Director
Robert Wallace for personal reasons the Department Commander Mike
McDermott has appointed Edward Morris as our Riders Director for the
remainder of the Legion year, Edward will
serve until the Department Convention in 2021. This appointment will
have no effect on Edwards ability to run for Riders Director in
accordance with the Department of New York Legion Riders Constitution
& By Laws. The new Director has the authority to replace
any and all APPOINTED positions name by the previous Director, any
ELECTED positions vacated will require the approval of the Department
Vice Directors in an email ballot and final approval by the Department
Commander. Commander McDermott and myself have the
upmost confidence in Edward as he assumes this important role and look
forward to assisting him as he implements his ideas and programs with
the Riders.
