Northeast Division Conference Update
I am writing to you with an update to the current situation regarding our upcoming Northeast Division Conference.
Our agenda is almost complete. We are waiting to hear from our guest speaker who should be confirming this week.
That said, the Ad Book is in good shape and being organized and prepared for print.
The
best news is that the Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has
just announced that restrictions regarding the number of attendees for
indoor and outdoor events will be lifted ahead of Memorial Day.
Keep in mind that you MUST STILL WEAR A MASK !
We are very fortunate to be receiving this news now, especially when we are so close to the event date.
I
also need to report to you that at the present time, we only have 44
Room nights booked so far. Our Contract is for 80 nights, and we need to
occupy 80% or 64 nights. If we fail to hit this mark, we as a Division
will be responsible for paying for those unused rooms; which will
deplete any gains for future funding that we would otherwise rely on.
That
said, it is imperative to reach out to your Department Officers,
Detachment Officers and the members who are motivated to learn more
about the League. This is a wonderful opportunity to network and meet
other Marines from around the Division in camaraderie and fellowship.
Semper Fi,
Michael John Waluk
