National Convention - Cancelled

Marines,

The National Commandant announced today, that after careful consideration, the National Board of Trustees has decided that it is in the best interest of all our members that we cancel the 2020 National Convention in Daytona Beach Florida. The cancellation had been completed with the Marine Corps League attorneys, just yesterday. They did not expect the hotel to start refunds immediately, so some of you may have been notified before the official announcement was made.

You can view the announcement from National Commandant Dennis Tobin on Facebook using this link:

For those who had reservations, please check your credit cards to ensure the proper amounts have been refunded. If there is an issue, please contact the hotel. If it is still not resolved, as per Commandant Tobins remarks, you can contact him.
DC Battle of the Barbeque

A message from National COO Bob Borka:

This is a little unorthodox for me to send but thought it important to virtually help defend a title representing a Marine Corps Veteran in the DC Battle of the BBQ against all other service branches.

S/F
Bob Borka

Here are the details:

From June 1 to June 21, the DC Battle of the Barbeque will take place virtually. This benefits the USO. There is a USO Military Chef Cook Off featuring the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard.

VOTE for the team representing Marine Corps service - MGySgt Jeremiah Burns (USMC/Ret). Click on this link to check them out:

It looks like the other branches of the military are making a full court press to take the defending champion's title. Let's keep it with our Marine!
