New York State Begins Opening Up Governor Cuomo has begun to opening up parts of the state in phases, based on seven metrics. Once those seven metrics are met, then that region can begin phase one opening. All regions of the state except New York City are now in Phase 1 or 2. New York City will enter phase 1 of reopening on June 8. Once your region reaches a phase that allows your Detachment to resume meetings (the criteria for phase 3 & 4 is not currently posted). We encourage Detachments to resume normal operations as soon as possible. You do not need authorization from the Department to do so. We remind everyone to comply with the New York State Guidelines for reopening, and maintain social distancing.
